A contemporary approach to Indian vernacular architecture that celebrates the value of an Indian household. The project is a three-story high-end house that can accommodate a family of ten. 

The entire house is connected through a central courtyard topped with strategically placed circular skylights. This bright central core brings light and life to all the surrounding space. The skylight forms dynamic shadows on the back wall of the courtyard according to the sun movement, giving a sense of the time of day.

The direct sunlight from the front south facade was filtered, still taking in the indirect light & warmth using  various tools like louvers, jalis & terraces with large overhangs.
